Well as you might of guessed I'm Back :) the reason I haven't been Blogging this month was our church had a month of fasting and prayer (kind of like Lent I suppose but we're not catholic so I won't call it that ). I decided that I would give up Blogging for the month. I spend so much time on-line reading blogs and Blogging myself and then when it comes time to spending time with God its such an effort .This month was about refocussing my priorities to what's really important. With that being said, I missed Blogging and am very glad to be back :)
Anyhoo I thought I'd share a bit of what's been happening in the last month :)
First up: the garden
when we moved in the back yard looked a bit like this:
Pretty boring and bland. I really wanted some plants in there so we made a plan and got an oil drum and cut it in half
I gave it a makeover with some spray paint and a stencil and put some plants in
Well I have a notoriously black thumb so I' especially proud of what I get to show you now :)
our plants are thriving :) every time I look out there it makes me smile :)
especially the frangipangi which went from this:
to this
our lemon/orange tree even has a fruit on it :)
there are still some things I'd like to do out there namely finish the path from the gate:
we have the stones
but the ground is as hard as cement so we need a pick or something to be able to dig them in :)
one more before and after :)
hope you enjoyed that bit of green :) I'm looking forward to sharing more of what's been going on over the next couple days :)
oh I also did a little header/button redesign :) what do you think?
